Childcare Providers

Asthma is a leading chronic illness among youth. Childcare providers play an important role in helping children and their families manage asthma by:
  • Offering training for staff about asthma and handling asthma emergencies
  • Creating a tobacco-free environment
  • Eliminating common asthma triggers
  • Using “green cleaning” products
  • Having asthma action plans on file for children with asthma
