Call For Posters is Open!
The Chicago asthma consortium (CAC) is pleased to announce its first poster session presentation at the 2025 world asthma day conference. This opportunity is open to undergraduate, graduate students and community members. The poster session will provide a platform for discussing works in progress, new research directions, innovative practices and shine the light on challenges in the asthma landscape.
At the conference, the best posters will be honored with prizes.
Poster Prizes
There will be two poster prizes: Both prizes are elected by the judges selected to review the different posters. The prizes will be announced in the award announcement session along with other CAC awards.
Submission Details
There is a two-step submission process:
Step #1: Submit your abstract
Please fill in the online form by including the following information:
- Presenter information (name, institution, email) and co-author(s)
- Project/Poster Title (15 words or less)
- Keywords (up to 5)
- Project objectives
- Project Abstract (max. 500 words)
Step #2: Submit your poster (after abstract acceptance)
After abstract acceptance, participants are invited to submit their poster (pdf format), and to give their consent to making the poster available on the conference website. Please note that posters will be printed, not digital.
Posters should be in English, and contain the following information:
- Title
- Keywords (up to 5)
- Project objectives
- Methodology
- Results, Conclusion/Recommendation(s) and call to action (if applicable)
- Collaborators involved
Poster topics
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Asthma education
- Asthma intervention and management
- Asthma Medication
- Asthma policies, resources, data
- Best practices, innovative techniques
- Environmental impact on asthma
- Social Determinants of health
- Respiratory illnesses
- Asthma and allergy etc..
Important Dates
- Submission starting date: February 1, 2025
- Submission deadline: March 1, 2025 AOE
- Notification of poster acceptance: March 17, 2025
- Final poster: April 17, 2025
- 2025 World Asthma Day conference: May 6, 2025
Submission form
Review Process
Submitted posters will be reviewed by the judges selected by the CAC. The review process for the posters will evaluate ideas, contributions, and presentation style.
Upon Acceptance
Accepted posters will be presented at the poster session, which will be held in person on Tuesday May 6, 2025. There is no virtual session for posters. At least one author of the poster presentation should attend the conference to present the poster.
