Keynote Speakers

Dr. Ngozi Ezike
President and Chief Executive Officer, Sinai Chicago
Dr. Ezike is a board-certified internist and pediatrician, who worked at Cook County Health, serving for more than 15 years in various direct patient care and administrative roles, including medical directorships at the Austin Health Center and Juvenile Detention Center. She also delivered inpatient care at Stroger Hospital and primary and preventive care in community and school-based clinics. Read more.
Dr. Megan Elios
Allergy & Immunology Fellow, Department of Pediatrics, University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital
Dr. Megan C. Elios earned her MD from Florida State University College of Medicine in 2015 and completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago in 2019. Prior to fellowship, she practiced general pediatrics in Chicago. Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of asthma in patients of all ages. As part of an academic medical center, Dr. Elios is committed to combining research-informed care with compassionate, family-centered treatment.
Karmin Wright
Asthma Outreach and Education Coordinator
South Side Pediatric Asthma Center
Karmin Wright graduated with her Bachelors in Science in Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since graduating, she has made great strides to make healthcare accessible for her community. Strides that include spearheading COVID-19 testing through CVS Pharmacy and being a Community Health Worker for pediatric asthma patients through Urban Health Initiative’s LinC Program at UChicago Medicine.
