Hypertension & Asthma

Join us as CAC launches our new programming series: Lunch and Learn! These days, schedules seem to be more packed than ever; but learning more about asthma management doesn't have to take hours. On the Third Wednesday of each month at noon, we'll be hosting a 30-minute, informal Zoom group with an expert in the field of asthma to educate and answer questions around asthma and issues that can affect those living with it. Lunch and Learn is free and open to all, and designed to be valuable for everyone, from experienced healthcare workers to community members looking to improve their ability to care for themselves and their loved ones.

March's Lunch and Learn will host Dr. Rob DiDomenico of the UIC College of Pharmacy to discuss the hypertension and asthma, and how the two intersect. Attendees can expect to learn how hypertension and asthma can affect each other, things to watch out for in themselves and loved ones, and strategies to help themselves and others manage both conditions in relation to each other.

This event is FREE to attend for all, but registration is required to receive the Zoom link!

Rob DiDomenico, Pharm.D., BCPS-AQ Cardiology, FCCP, HFSA, FACC

Dr. DiDomenico, is an Associate Professor in the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, where he also serves as Assistant Head for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives. Dr. DiDomenico is also an Affiliate member of the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research and Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Illinois Hospital with a practice site in inpatient cardiology. Full Bio

Sean Martin, BS

Sean Martin is a dedicated second-year pharmacy student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy. With a strong interest in healthcare and a drive to make a positive impact on patients' lives, he is focused on pursuing a career as a clinical pharmacist in cardiology and oncology. Sean will be assisting with Dr. DiDomenico's presentation.
