KICK ASTHMA
School Policy Forum:
School-Based Asthma Management

June 9, 2022 • 12:00 - 1:00 PM

Join us for an open forum session with two presenters we're very excited to be hosting: Dr. Andrea Pappalardo of the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Dr. Felicia Fuller of the American Lung association!

Dr. Pappalardo will be discussing various aspects of stock reliever inhalers - such as albuterol - in schools, from policy to implementation and related concerns. With recent changes in policy somewhat overshadowed by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, this issue remains a major concern in updating school health practices.

Dr. Fuller will be covering the American Lung Association's recent work on the ground in schools across the Chicago area, and ways in which community-based partnerships are essential for school-based asthma management, in particular school-based health centers.

Speakers:

Dr. Andrea Pappalardo

Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics, Allergist, and Pediatrician

University of Illinois at Chicago

Felicia Fuller, Dr.PH

Director of Health Promotions for Illinois and Wisconsin

American Lung Association
